Feature Suggestions • Re: Add self-defined commands to the auto-complete list

Comparing the two proposed solutions:
a) replace the original TeX.xml file at each TXC installation
b) creating a new file (for example My_Tex.xml) with my own commands
I liked the second best and tried it.

However, one should notice that the commands cannot have the same name as in TeX.xml. For example, if Tex.xml has
<lxEnvironment name=”figure”
then your command should not be named figure. This created me the following problem, if I change it in My_Tex.xml to
<lxEnvironment name=”myfigure”
I end up with a:

because TXC cannot delete that I typed myfigure, and it only creates text before and after what I typed.

So, my conclusion at this moment is that the best is solution a).

Templates, Wizards & Tools • Re: Missing Template scrreprt

Templates for TeXnicCenter (TXC) are stored in its installation path.

Code:  •  Open in writeLaTeX
C:\Program Files\TeXnicCenter\Templates         % for TXC1 RC1
C:\Program Files\TeXnicCenter Alpha\Templates   % for TXC2 alpha 3

Just create your own template and put it either in one of the subdirectories »Documents« or »Projects«.

Best regards and welcome to the board

Templates, Wizards & Tools • Re: Missing Template scrreprt

Hallo and thanks for the efford!

I think I was not precise enough. When I start a new projekt I can choose from a number of classes, like KOMABuch or KOMA-Brief or report, but I cannot choose KOMA-Report, which I liked to use. I can start that one from the scratch, but it would be quite convenient…

I used KOMA-classes bevor, but installed it manually through MiKTeX. Still it stays the same…

Aditionally I made a screen shot:

All the best

Development • Release Date of TeXnicCenter 2.0

Dear developers,

a few days ago I compiled and installed a current (trunk) version of TeXnicCenter successfully. I’m very impressed with the new look and feel of the product. When do you plan to release an official version of TeXnicCenter 2.0?

Thank you very much for your great work!
